Quick description
In the historic market town of Farnham, this privately owned and managed hotel is a charming 18th-century residence, carefully modernised to provide beautiful en suite rooms.
On West Street, which has some of the finest Georgian architecture in Surrey, The Bishop’s Table has a distinctive front, with original windows. The building has been updated to offer the best modern comforts, but many original features remain.
With free Wi-Fi, the bar is also a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a drink.
The garden room overlooks the grounds, and has a small area for children to play or read, to let you focus on relaxing.
Hotel information
The hotel can cater for special occasions of up to 200 plus. 2 meeting rooms are also available; one with a capacity of 17 and the other for 35.
The building was once the home of The Marquis of Lothian, who constructed a pathway leading down through the beautiful 2 acre garden to St Andrew''s Parish Church (the largest Parish Church in Surrey). The present owners have plans to further landscape this area. The Marquis is also reputed to have formed the first ladies cricket team in Farnham. Up until 1919, the hotel was also used for the education of Anglican Clergy.
