Birmingham Attractions

While in Birmingham, the following attractions are not to be missed.

1. The Drayton Manor Theme Park is place to bring the whole family and be entertained throughout the day. Take the children to the zoo and introduce them to different species of reptiles, cats and primates. Enjoy the scariest rides and experience the thrill of a lifetime. Be amazed at the new 4D Cinema which is the newest attraction at the theme park.

2. A tour around Cadbury World is an enlightening moment for all chocolate lovers where they will learn its history and see how their favorite chocolates are being made.

3. The National Sea Life Center is another place for the family to explore the underwater life by walking through the underwater glass canals where amazing creatures from the sea, like sea turtles and reef sharks and a million other fishes, can be seen swimming all around, they can almost be touched.

4. A visit to the BBC Birmingham's Public Place gives highlight to the state-of-the-art television studios where tourists get the feel of how news reports and weather forecasts are actually being shot and presented on the air.

5. A stroll around Birmingham's Botanical Garden for the whole family would introduce everyone to 15 acres worth of amazing garden collections. Explore plant life together and see the birds at home in this sanctuary. An adventure park is also a must see for the kids and adults alike, to appreciate nature in all its glory.

6. For an active day, visit Go Ape. Be prepared to spend the day in a forest adventure where the treat happens from the top of the trees. Have fun and climb the trees, swing on vines, walk through rope bridges, or crawl through tunnels.

7. Chamberlain Square is located in central Birmingham where many activities happen. This is where one could find the Birmingham Council House, Birmingham Town Hall, Birmingham Central Library, the Paradise forum, the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, the Big Brum and the Chamberlain Memorial, which is a monument for Joseph Chamberlain in celebration of his achievements.

8. A tour at the Back to Back Housing, which is a National Trust location, would bring tourist to experience and feel how the people lived and worked during the periods from 1840-1977. It showcases restored 19th-Century houses which tells of the culture and religion of the people during those times.

9. Don't forget to pass by Thinktank for an immense learning and fun experience about everything that pertains to science. See and feel and update information about everything, from aircraft and trains to the wonders of the human body to the stars and the solar system. There is then the spectacular planetarium that offers breathtaking views of the universe from its 360 degrees dome-shaped ceiling.

10. The Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery is truly a place to visit for all art lovers. The museum houses a great showcase of paintings, silverware, sculptures and glassware from the Pre-Raphaelite collection. The tea room is recommended by many tourist as a must see while visiting there.
